This is my oil rack I built to hold all my oils. This is also my first blog post. Ever. (Don't worry about the dates - this is really the first one I've written...) I've never been wordy enough or elaborate enough. (Are those synonyms?) But I figure that I can share a few words, well honestly, because all that I want to say about the recipes and oils I am sharing won't fit under the pictures! Ha! So here goes...again.
This is the oil rack I built to hold all my oils. If you are an oiler, you know the struggle of where to store them and what to carry them around in! My mom carried around an ancient tupperware container for awhile. I carried mine in various bags I had. I thought I had a pretty good idea storing them in a shallow drawer I had in my kitchen. I could see all of them because they laid down. But they were laid down. I could see them, but the oils themselves inside the bottle rested against the lids. The lids are plastic and so the stronger oils slowly ate away at the lid and about half a bottle of Oregano is pretty strong when you open up a drawer and don't expect it!! So this is great for a long-term-house-type storage solution. More power to ya travelling around with them in your tupperware containers!! (I hear one of my distributors, Karla Adams has some awesome little travel bags to keep them in....)
So I knew I had to figure something else out to keep my lids from deteriorating! So I pinterested and googled and you tubed and came upon a video of a DIY nail polish rack. Nail polish bottles are pretty close to the same size so I thought, sure - that would work! I could customize the size so that it would fit in my "oil area" (see electrical outlet) and choose what colors I wanted! See the video here.
